Advice from a Lama - How to eat your meals

Let me share with you some advice that a Tibetan Lama gave me. Achieving good digestion is the key to managing your IBS. You need to activate your digestive system, and that will help you reduce much of the pain and discomfort associated with IBS.

Here are some useful tips.

1. Always drink a glass of boiled water after every meal. Boil the water and keep it aside to cool, then drink it after you have your meal. This helps with digestion.

2. Try and add some ground cinnamon into your drinks. You can put the cinnamon into milk, or water. Just make sure the drink is not too hot. Do not use the cinnamon in coffee as you will not see any results.

3. Use garlic generously in your food. Garlic is good for digestion. You don't have to eat it raw, you can stir fry garlic with your vegetables.
